Married at their Coastal Home in Ballycastle.
Hosted at their holiday home along the breathtaking Ballycastle coastline, Jayne and Alastair tied the knot in true style this weekend. With the Atlantic waves crashing in the distance and the salty sea air adding to the romance, their wedding was a stunning fusion of elegance, personality, and heartfelt celebration.

A Love Story That Began on the Dance Floor
Jayne and Alastair’s love story began in the most magical of places—a wedding dance floor.
"We met at a friend's wedding in Drenagh House, Limavady. Alastair was a groomsman, and I was there as a far-out friend of the bride. I didn’t really know many people, but I was having a blast with a group of girls affectionately known as the 'barren b*tches' (haha). Later in the evening, we got chatting at the bar, and to my surprise, Alastair lived just 20 minutes away from me in London! After watching me teach his friends how to Irish dance, he whisked me away for a dance of our own—and that was really that!"
From a chance meeting to a lifelong commitment, their love story is the kind that feels written in the stars—or perhaps in the rhythm of a waltz on an Irish dance floor.

A Dress Like No Other
Jayne’s wedding dress needs no introduction—it was nothing short of a masterpiece. Designed by the bride herself and brought to life by the incredibly talented Sofia Melendez, the gown was a vision of coastal chic, perfectly weaving in Jayne’s love for the sea. Every detail was infused with a subtle shell motif, from the delicate embellishments to the flowing silhouette, echoing the natural beauty of Ballycastle’s shores. And honestly, I’ll be over here trying to figure out how to make it part of my daily wardrobe!

A Wedding Close to Home & Heart
This wedding was particularly special to me, as I have been lucky enough to photograph other weddings within the Dooey family. Over the years, their kindness and warmth have been a true blessing, and being part of yet another milestone in their journey was an honour I’ll always cherish.
Jayne and Alastair wanted their wedding to be more than just a day—it was a heartfelt tribute to their love, their families, and their friends. “We wanted it to be a celebration of us, our family, and closest friends. We wanted them to know just how much we appreciate them by organising a truly incredible day for them.” And that’s exactly what they did.
From an effortlessly stylish ambiance to a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, love, and incredible fashion moments (three stunning dresses, might I add!), their wedding day was nothing short of magical.

The Next Chapter
Jayne and Alastair, thank you SO much for welcoming me with open arms on your wedding day. It was an absolute joy to celebrate with you in a place that means so much to you and surrounded by the people who love you most.
As you make the big move back to Ireland from your London days, I have no doubt that your future together will be as beautiful and full of love as your wedding day was. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and maybe a few more dances under the stars!
With love,
- Sarah x
