Laura & David at Luttrellstown Castle
Looking for the perfect inspiration for your dream wedding at Luttrellstown Castle? Laura and David (or as they lovingly call themselves, the Zhao-Coe’s) tied the knot at this stunning Dublin venue in a celebration filled with vibrant colour, meaningful traditions, and timeless elegance. This breathtaking event highlights the magic of Luttrellstown Castle and why it’s one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Ireland.

Their first encounter was in a physics lab, where Laura strategically chose her seat next to David. Fast forward 11 years, the two have traveled the globe, supported each other’s dreams, and become best friends. David’s romantic proposal at sunset in the Galapagos Islands, surrounded by playful sea lions, set the tone for the extraordinary wedding they’d go on to plan.

The Finer Details
Laura stunned in a timeless strapless ballgown from DeStafford Bridal, exuding elegance and complementing her natural beauty. Her bridesmaids wore chic dresses from Dresscode, each in shades that echoed the lush greenery of the castle’s grounds. David looked sharp in a classic tuxedo from Paul Smith, while his groomsmen donned elegant suits from Marks & Spencer, perfectly balancing sophistication with comfort.
The floral arrangements by Fléurtique brought bursts of vibrant colour to every corner of the castle. The couple chose a palette that celebrated their heritage, with green symbolising Ireland and red for China. From bouquets to table arrangements, the flowers added a touch of whimsy and elegance. The couple’s humanist ceremony, officiated by Philip Byers, was deeply personal and moving. Family members and close friends gave heartfelt readings in both English and Chinese, and a symbolic hand-fasting ceremony united Laura and David with ropes in green and red, honouring their Irish and Chinese roots.

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a sumptuous meal within the castle’s grand dining hall. The atmosphere was alive with laughter, love, and a sense of togetherness.
Music played a central role in the celebration. Talented musicians Linda McGann and Jenny Dowdall provided a magical soundtrack during the ceremony, while the energetic Bentley Boys had everyone on their feet for the evening’s festivities.
The pièce de résistance was the wedding cake from Thunders Bakery. Simple yet striking, the cake reflected the couple’s timeless style and left a sweet impression on all.
