A Love Story in the Wild
Some weddings just have that extra spark; that feeling of pure, unfiltered joy that lingers in the air. Aidan and Rachel’s wedding at Finnebrogue Woods was exactly that; an outdoor celebration filled with personal touches, deep emotions, and a whole lot of love.
Their love story took a dramatic turn on a wet and wild afternoon at Mussenden Temple. Perched on the window ledge, with the wind howling and the waves crashing below, Aidan got down on one knee (well, as much as he could on a ledge!) and popped the question. It was a surprise; but not entirely. Rachel had a feeling it was coming. When you know, you just know.
A Calm Before the Celebration
Rachel got ready at the charming Quarry Hill Church Airbnb, surrounded by her bridesmaids. The morning was laid-back; cups of coffee, soft laughter, and a few rounds of Monopoly Go kept the nerves at bay. There was no rush, no stress; just a sense of excitement building with each passing moment.
She stepped into her stunning Pronovias dress from Pippa Bridal; a vision of elegance with a modern edge. Aidan, looking effortlessly sharp in his Zara Men suit, was waiting to meet his bride among the trees.

The Ceremony - Love in the Heart of the Woods
Finnebrogue Woods set the perfect scene for an outdoor ceremony full of heart. Surrounded by towering trees and a soft, golden light filtering through the leaves, Aidan and Rachel exchanged their vows in front of family, friends, and their beloved dog, Mumford; who had a very important job as the ring bearer.
Laughter mixed with happy tears as the couple signed their wedding register in the most Aidan-and-Rachel way possible; on each other’s backs. A moment so simple yet so personal, reflecting their partnership in the best way.
As they walked back up the aisle, their guests showered them in a confetti tunnel that led from the ceremony site to the main tent. The energy was pure joy; cheers, applause, and the kind of smiles that make your cheeks hurt.

Good Food, Good Music, Good Vibes
Under the warm glow of fairy lights, guests gathered in the main tent for a feast filled with local flavours. Giuseppe’s Box, Process Coffee, and Brooke Avenue served up delicious dishes, while Rachel’s family friend created a wedding cake that was both beautiful and (most importantly) insanely tasty.
The tables were decorated with stunning floral arrangements by Hidden Botanics; blending seamlessly into the woodland surroundings. Every little detail reflected Aidan and Rachel’s love for nature, family, and good company.
Then, as the sun dipped behind the trees, the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. With The Groovesmen setting the mood, they swayed to The 1975’s “I’m In Love With You”; lost in their own little world.

A Night to Remember
From heartfelt speeches to spontaneous dance-offs, the night unfolded like a dream. No fancy cars, no over-the-top traditions; just a beautiful, real, and deeply meaningful celebration of love.
Aidan and Rachel’s wedding at Finnebrogue Woods wasn’t just about saying “I do”; it was about embracing the journey, the laughter, the unexpected moments, and the love that surrounded them every step of the way.
And honestly? It was magic.
